About the Doyen of Uruguay, after Mr. Varela Lopez's death, there are no SCs or almost SCs men pending or validated by LAS.

Felix Sienra de Montevideo born 1/21/1916 is being considered the oldest Uruguayan man
However, José do Nascimento Coelho born in Aguas Frías, Alte Algarve, Consejo de Loulé district, in Faro, Portugal, lives in Salto and was born on 10/18/1915 is the oldest Uruguayan resident considered at the moment.

Now probably the oldest person in Uruguay is Félix Sienra, who is also the oldest living Olympian, competing in the 1948 Olympics placing sixth in the Firefly class in sailing, born on 1/21/1916 in Montevideo, that's all because Maria Virgen Rojas born 11/22/1910 is questionable, she lives in Durazno

I just don't know why her age is questionable

America Moreira (b.26 May 1915) is the oldest known living woman and person in Uruguay.

Source: (107th birthday)

(The age of Maria Virgen Rojas was not clarified)

Maria Virgen Rojas according to FamilySearch documents was born in 1916. I don't know if this is correct, also she is still not listed on the list debunked by LAS, probably the exact age has not been determined yet.

Source: FamilySearch
* Maria Virgen Rojas (birth certificate, 22.11.1916) FamilySearch

Definitely America Moreira is the oldest known living woman and person in Uruguay after Monica Rodriguez's death. I don't know in which department America Moreira lives.

The debunked list of LAS is still extremely incomplet.

I must update the Uruguayan dean as Teresa Bottazzi (born in Italy on August 14, 1915) was confirmed alive today with the caregiver.

America Moreira died months ago according to the residential complex where she lived. Rip

@estebangonzalez To verify Ms. Bottazzi's age, is it possible to know the name of the village where she was born?

Thanks!

Ale, for now I don't have the information, although I left my number so they can call me for a possible interview.
It turns out that the caregiver told me that she has the beginning of dementia and the son recently had surgery.
I have only found one public interview of her. Source

Aparicio Duarte would be the oldest man in Uruguay, born on 29 Nov 1916 in Tacuarembo and lived in Canelones, but according to our friend Esteban he passed away a few months ago, but there is no date yet. With this, the oldest man in Uruguay becomes Luis Valdez born on 26 Nov 1917 in Soriano and living in Maldonado. Does anyone have information about Aparício?
