There is a mistake in this.
Indeed today Ethel Caterham enters the TOP 100, but tying with Iso Nakamura (114 years and 214 days)
And also in the gerontology wiki list they left out February 29, so there is a 1 day error.
Ethel Caterham's age as of March 22 according to the wiki is 114 years and 213 days, this is an error as the correct age is 114 years and 214 days.

Ethel is now among the top five oldest living people, following the death of Mr. Perez Mora

Mrs Caterham looks wonderful for someone approaching their 115th birthday.
And whom (health permitting) could be only the thirds person from the UK to reach 115 and also the second oldest person ever from the UK, by early September.
I'm glad to see that Mrs. Caterham is still healthy.
August will be a very interesting month for England, Ethel Caterham the oldest woman in her country will turn 115 years old, and just 5 days later John Tinniswood the oldest man in his country and in the world will turn 112 years old.

And Mary Walker's 113th birthday is two days after John's

I'm not really convinced that this is actually a recent picture. I think Ben is possibly mistaken here.

It's actually from 2022, Ben was mistaken (he said it on the other forum)
As of today (15 August) Mrs Caterham appears to have reached the age of 41,998 days - in her case 114-360.
This means she has surpassed the age of the previous third oldest person from the UK, being Eva Morris, who also reached 114-360, but in her case this appears to have amounted to 41,997 days.
It's worth noting that no one has broken into the UK top 3 this century, nor has anyone from the UK reached 115 in that time.
Health permitting for Mrs Caterham, in addition to these two milestones, she could also go past Annie Jennings before the end of August 2024 .. therefore into second place on the all time UK oldest list.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's been almost a year since Ethel was last confirmed alive. I could not find anything else about her being alive. I hope on 21 August, we'll get an update on her 115th birthday.
On 19 August 2024, following the sad passing of Mrs. Branyas Morera, Ms. Caterham became the World's 4th-oldest validated living person.

Her nursing home closed in the fall and I remember her being mentioned in a comment
Also I don't think she would have an unreported death
It's been a good week for Ethel... she turns 115 tomorrow, and she surpassed Morris and will soon surpass Jennings
And she became the oldest person in Europe after a 19-month tenure in 2nd place, only days before her birthday
This confirms that she is still alive
It would be interesting to know if the picture is new, or reproduced from the past.
@billy-robinson I would find it odd that a birthday project could be organised for her if it wasn't known where she lived or if she was even alive.
At 115:

Happy belated 115th birthday, Ethel Caterham!
I hope it is a year full of health and positive things for her.
She still looks strong and bright at 115 years old.

Although we don’t publish too many milestones on this forum, entering the top two for one’s country is probably worth a mention.
Today Mrs Caterham ties the age of Mrs Annie Jennings in terms of years and days at 115-8.
However in terms of total days lived, she has now surpassed Mrs Jennings and is therefore the second oldest validated person in the history of the UK.
Today, 30th August 2024, Ms. Caterham has reached the age of 115 years, 9 days and has surpassed the final age of Ms. Jennings (115 years, 8 days).
Ms. Caterham is now the second oldest British person in history!
