LongeviQuest reports the the new validation of 112-year-old Maria Jorge Esteves de Almeida. She was born in Portugal on 28 May 1912 and moved to Brazil at the age of 4. She is currently the oldest living person in the brazilian state of São Paulo, and the oldest Portuguese-born person.

On March 2026, Anonymous S. from Setagaya became a limbo case and Ms. Esteves de Almeida became the World's 9th-oldest validated living person.

Today, 19 June 2026, Maria Jorge Esteves de Almeida reached the age of 114 years and 22 days, and surpassed the final age of Plácida Maria do Livramento (1895-2009), becoming the 11th-oldest woman ever from Brazil, whose age is validated.
