Just found out that the full name of 'our' new 108 year old is Caecilia Theodora Steens-Hermsen, born 26 November 1914.
On her 100th birthday, the mayor of Nijmegen visited her. After that, she would not have any official visits or any publicity on her birthdays.
In June 2021, she moved from Nijmegen to the municipality of Berg en Dal.

There are two possibilities to find out:
1: Contacting the municipality of Rotterdam (which probably wouldn't be a success due to strict Dutch privacy laws).
2: Waiting until Statistics Netherlands releases the information of all the centenarians in Rotterdam on 1 January 2023.

So far, I haven't seen any confirmation yet from either Gert Jan or Sipke, let alone from news reports: source.
Unfortunately, i don't know if she reached her 110th birthday.

Today, the Dutch CBS published some important data. On 1 January 2023, the Netherlands had one female person, born in July 1912 (from Morocco), and one male person, born in February 1914 (from China).
Furthermore, there's one female, born in September 1914 in Iran, and one female, born in January 1916 in Afghanistan.
These are the numbers of Dutch centenarians (IN THE NETHERLANDS!!!) on 01-01-2023:

Two remarks:
1. This is how these people are really known:
- Leny Mackenbach ||| "LAY-knee" but with the tip of your tongue pressed against the back of your front teeth for the l // the French l, if you're familiar with French
- Rien van der Es-Siewers ||| "reen" with a slightly rolling r
- Ria van Ham-Schoenmaker ||| "REE-yah", again with a slightly rolling r
- Corrie Akker ||| "KOH-ree", you get the r now // with an o that mostly resembles the o in 'pot'
- Lies Bastiaanse-de Boer ||| "lease" but again with the French l
- An Lengers-Gerritsen ||| "an" with the a in car, but slightly shorter
- Ciel Steens-Hermsen ||| "seal"
2. There's also an Iranian woman (most likely) living in Haarlem, born around 15 September 1914; she'd actually be in 10th place (seeing you've also added the Chinese immigrant).

She died on 3 February 2023 at the age of 107 years, 65 days.

Today, Mrs. Marina Femke van der Es-Siewers turned 110. On behalf of her family, no celebrations/festivities were held. The alderman of the municipality of Hollands Kroon brought flowers though.
Unfortunately, there was no mention about her being the oldest or not in The Netherlands.

However, there is something I don't understand about what is said in this article:
Translation:
'Is Marina van der Es-Siewers the oldest woman in the Netherlands or not? That is not completely clear. The fact is that she turned 110 years old on March 4. Leny Mackenbach from Rotterdam is said to be a few months older, but according to Elly van der Es, Marina's daughter-in-law, Mackenbach is not originally Dutch, which doesn't count.'
What does she mean, not originally Dutch? I found her 1912 birth certificate and both of her parents' 1887 birth certificate that confirm that all three of them were born in Rotterdam, Netherlands. So I don't know how her daughter-in-law came up with this information... 🤔
