Happy 110th birthday to him! 🙂

The first male SC who has the first name Adolf or a variant of it, such as Adolfo! Just an interesting bit of historical trivia, though obviously he was born before the name Adolf became taboo.

My neighbour Adi (Adolf) was born in the 1980s, btw. In our town there are lots of Adolfs born in the 60s, few in the 70s. And that has nothing to deal with the Führer. It is a old German name. Short forms in our dialect are Adi, Dolf, Dolfi or Doifal. It is a coincidence that Doifal sounds like Toifal ( little devil) in dialect.

That's good to hear! For what it's worth, I agree that the name Adolf should not be tainted after just one person, however notable, destructive, and evil, when there were even some Jewish people in the past who had the name Adolf or some variant of it (such as Adolphe).
