As there are only two living 111-year-old people in Fukuoka who turn 112 before 31 March 2023 with an unknown residence, this oldest woman in Fukuoka has to have been born on either 24 Sept 1910 or 21 Dec 1910.

- The oldest living person in Kitakyūshū will be 112 years old by the end of the fiscal year (ends 31 March 2023). This most likely concerns Takako Miura (三浦タカ子), born on 23 March 1911. The oldest living man in Kitakyūshū was 108 years old, meaning this man was born on either 11 Feb 1914 or 10 Apr 1914.

The oldest living man in Miyazaki prefecture, Sanai Yanagida (柳田佐内) of Miyakonojō, died on 15 September 2022, aged 107. He was born on 10 March 1915. His successor as oldest living man in Miyazaki prefecture is Matsushirō Hidaka (日高松四郎) of Miyazaki City, born in May 1915.

Mr Shigeru Nakamura (中村茂) has been officially confirmed as Japan's oldest living man.

　敬老の日を迎えるのを前に厚生労働省は16日、国内最高齢の男女を発表した。男性の最高齢は、広島県神石高原町在住の中村茂さん（111）。町内の福祉施設に入所しており、職員からお祝いの言葉を贈られると「みなさんのおかげです」と笑顔で喜んだ。

There are 11 living supercentenarians in Fukuoka prefecture. Six of them are 111-year-old women, and the remaining five are 110 years old.

The two oldest living men are 108 years old.

The oldest living person in Ōsaka prefecture (as well as in Japan) is 115-year-old Fusa Tatsumi (巽フサ) of Kashiwara, born on 25 April 1907. The oldest living man in Ōsaka prefecture is 109-year-old Tetsujirō Nurita (塗田哲次郎) of Toyonaka, born on 20 February 1913.

I've never thought about how the Japanese count years before. Fusa Tatsumi was born in the 40th year of the Meiji-era (1907) while Tetsujiro Nurita was born in the second year of the Taisho-era (1913). The Japanese have to know their history to know when people were born.

There are four supercentenarians in Chiba prefecture. They are:

• 111-year-old Hiro Matsumoto (松本ひろ) of Funabashi, born on 9 September 1911.
• 110-year-old Gisaburō Sonobe (薗部儀三郎) of Tateyama, born on 6 November 1911. He is the oldest man in the prefecture.
• 110-year-old Yuki Ōkawa (大川ユキ) of Nagareyama, born on 11 July 1912.
• a 110-year-old anonymous woman from Matsudo, born on 1 September 1912.

This effectively means that Kaoru Kobayashi (小林薫) of Narashino, born on 18 January 1909, has entered limbo. She was last confirmed alive on her 113th birthday.

A lot has changed in Kagawa prefecture. The oldest living person there on 1 September 2022 was an anonymous 110-year-old woman from Takamatsu, born in June 1912. A second supercentenarian (albeit officially as of 13 September 2022) in Kagawa prefecture is Hisano Okada (岡田ヒサノ) of Miki, born on 13 September 1912. The oldest living man in Kagawa prefecture is anonymous and 105 years old.

This means that the following (super)centenarians have entered limbo, all as of 1 January 2022:

• 112-year-old Masami Ueno (植野孚美) of Mitoyo, born on 1 January 1910.
• An anonymous woman from Miki, 111 or 112 years old, born between 2 January and 15 September 1910.
