A woman from Takasaki, Gunma turned 110 in May (born May 1916). A 109-year-old woman from the same city born in December 1916 is also still alive (as of 31 May 2026).

A 112-year-old woman from Saitama prefecture died in late May 2026. She may have been the woman from Toda or Chichibu (but not from Iruma, confirmed alive on 1 June 2026).

May she rest in peace.

Overduidelijk misschien.

I have also unofficially confirmed the existence of a woman who turned 112 on May 20, 2026. While it is possible that she is the same person as this woman living in Hokkaidō, there is no conclusive evidence.
Hokkaidō (北海道)
3. [Private], F, 111, 1914.05.20 (private residence) (per 1 September 2025)

Thanks, Straycat. From her city of residence, we've received confirmation that the OLP in Hokkaidō was alive on 31 May 2026 (we had this confirmation in June).

In addition, the complete DOB of the woman from Yodogawa Ward, Ōsaka City is known.
