Ms. Vieno Nurmilaukas of Savitaipale, South Karelia (FIN) recently passed away, aged 108.
She was born on 23 September 1917.
In July 2025, following the passing of 108-year-old Helena Honkanen of Uusimaa, she became the oldest known living person in Finland.
She was the last person born before Finland got its independence on 6 December 1917.
