I am very sad to report that the oldest known living person in Hungary, Istvánné Fejes (née Erzsébet Soltész) sadly passed away on 17 December 2022, in Szeged, Hungary, at the age of 111 years and 305 days.
News received through private correspondence with her family.
Erzsébet was born on 15 February 1911 in Nagybánya, Austria-Hungary (now Baia Mare, Romania). She is to our knowledge the second-oldest person ever to live in present-day Hungary.
Rest in peace, Mrs Fejes. Nyugodjon bekében!

I think it is also worth mentioning that she was the oldest known living person born in Austria-Hungary from 11 November 2022 (Luise Pompe's death) until her death.

She may have been the last known Hungarian person born before 1913 (the new oldest known is Arpadne Juhasz, b.14.05.1914).
