Sadly Rose Eaton passed away on 7 October 2022 aged 113. She was born on 23 August 1909 and was the second-oldest living person in the UK (just two days younger than Ethel Caterham).

Co-founder, European Supercentenarian Organisation 2020-
Founder, Oldest in Britain 2009-

Sad news. RIP Rose Eaton. Now Mrs. Caterham is the last living British person born in the 1900s decade.

Interested in supercentenarians since 27 July 2018.
First supercentenarian I learned about: Kane Tanaka (1903-2022)

Rest in peace, Rose Eaton.

She certainly had a very interesting life - participating in Jaguar rallies and motor races across Europe well into her octogenarian years. A few photos of her with her 1959 Jaguar X150, which was her regular transport until giving up her license aged 99.
