Mrs. Francis Ella Cook of Alabama, USA, passed away on 30 September 2024, nine days after her birthday. Her obituary and news articles say she was 110 but she was apparently validated as being born in 1913 so I'm a bit confused
RIP Mrs. Cook
The GRG erroneously interpreted some data (1920 census match & marriage record) as supporting birth in 1913. It is most likely that her claim of 1914 is accurate.
Not a surprise seeing errors from that disastrous organization.
Rest in peace Ms. Cook.

She has not been validated by GRG yet, it may be that whoever included her in the wiki got confused and put 1913 as her year of birth.
Very good observation.
@diego Waclaw posted on the GRG forum that she is validated and that she was validated with a 1913 birth year. She was just on their list of living SCs a few days ago.
Edit: She is still listed here in their 2024 validations. With a 1913-09-22 birthdate, supposedly validated on 11 Sep 2024.

True, she is only named Ella Cook, so I didn't find it.
The GRG has quietly changed the year of birth for her from 1913 to 1914 in their validations. Here she is listed as being born in 1914. This is despite Waclaw's outburst on the GRG fan forum and an entire article ( https://web.archive.org/web/20241005120202/https://www.grg-supercentenarians.org/2024/10/03/ella-frances-cook-1913-2024/) written on the GRG website in defense of the validation (which has vanished).
