Unfortunately, I discovered that Ms. Ana Alves Pires (who would have turned 111 today) passed away 9 months ago, at the age of 110 years and 76 days. There was no news about her passing. I only found her obituary today, stating that she died on 12 October 2025.

She was the longest-lived person in the Viana do Castelo district and the 4th oldest living person in Portugal, at that time. 

May she rest in peace.
