Thanks to the research skills of our excellent Portuguese correspondent, the ESO can report the death of Mrs Ilda da Silva of Oeiras, Lisbon, Portugal on 12 January 2025, aged 111 years and 271 days. She was born in Alvor, Faro, Portugal on 16 April 1913.
May she rest in peace.
