Mrs. Mary Viola Gumbs Humphrey from Panama sadly passed away on June 23, 2025; aged 111.
She was born on May 7, 1914.

She was the oldest person in Panamanian history from December 10, 2024, having lived for 195 days, the longest time since Dolores María Vázquez de Martínez (March 26, 2022 - December 10, 2024, (2 years, 211 days)).
She is the youngest person to die as the oldest person in Panama since 2015, when the data began.
She is the first person from the Province of Panama to be the oldest person in the country.
