Ms. Tome Nakada (中田トメ) of Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, who was oldest person in the Prefecture has sadly passed away August 11, 2026, at the age of 110.
She was likely one of the SCs who had not previously been known to the general public. Also—though I intend to write about this in a separate thread—the fact that Ms. Nakada was the oldest person in the prefecture suggests a high probability that the an anonymous woman of Kanazawa City (Ms. Toshiko Ueda?), has unfortunately entered "limbo."

The first URL is for a site listing obituary information, while the second is an article from an Ishikawa Prefecture newspaper. As the newspaper article is behind a paywall, I haven't been able to read the full details myself, but the headline reads: "Oldest resident in the prefecture, 110-year-old Ms. Tome Nakata (Nakada?) of Komatsu City, passes away (県内最高齢110歳死去 小松の中田トメさん)."

Thanks to hydepark sharing a document from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on the 110 club, her date of birth has been revealed.
According to that, she was born on August 20, 1915, meaning she passed away at the age of 110 years, 356 days.

県内最高齢１１０歳死去 小松の中田トメさん北國・富山新聞 2026.08.14 朝刊 石川県内の最高齢者で１１０歳だった小松市島田町庚４２の３、中田トメ（なかだ・とめ）さんが１１日午前６時４２分、老衰のため同市園町の森田病院で死去した。中田さんは１９１５（大正４）年８月２０日生まれ。通夜、葬儀は終了した。県によると、県内の最高齢者はかほく市の１０９歳女性となる。

She is the 6th oldest person in the history of Ishikawa.
She held the title of oldest person in Ishikawa for 344 days (starting September 1, 2025)—the shortest tenure since Hisai Tatsuda, who held the title for 273 days (August 29, 2021 – May 29, 2022). She also died at the youngest age for someone in this position since Hisai Tatsuda, who passed away at 110 years, 207 days. She is the first person from Komatsu to become the oldest person in Ishikawa.
