@Coyote77 yes I know Otilio isn't verified, but he is partially documented. I will edit my list.

@aquanaut_chalk That is not true, he is not partially documented. I really don't understand where people took this from...

@Coyote77 okay. On another forum I read that he indeed was documented. There's just so many sites saying different things its hard to find the original source. I believe Otilio is 112. I spoke with his great granddaughter who said he had all the documents to authenticate his age and that his correct date of birth was 15 June 1910. I really don't know what to say to that... I want to keep him in my top 10 favorites though, because my personal belief is that he is 112. I believe his great granddaughter. Although not verified, I think he will highly likely be verified soon.

I know gerontology.fandom.com isn't the best source of information but I been trying to find better sources on facebook, and the110club. I also recognize there's a difference between longevity claims and fairytales, as people on the internet said Mbah Gotho's documented age was 146. I wish that was true, but that is beyond human possibilities and would fall under the category of things in fairytales. But Otilio's claimed documented Age of 112 is very possible and probable. I will edit my list again. I don't want to spread false information but when people post false information, I am quick to believe it without checking its authenticity.

@aquanaut_chalk if you are on good terms with his relatives you could ask them to submit their documentation to the LAS so that they can review his case.

@930310 yeah I did ask Otilio's great granddaughter to submit his documents and she told me that they would get around to it. It's been a while, and I don't know if they did go through with submitting his documents but I did ask. I don't want to bring it up to his family again because I don't want to come across as pushy, but hopefully they will or have submitted it by now. I think it's best to let them handle the documentation on their own time. I would feel bad if someone thought I was trying to rush them.

My list is somewhat dominated by the fact that I've spent a fair amount of time living in three different countries and that after a long absence of "very senior" male supercentenarians, I feel that our two oldest are real treasures.

  1. Juan Vicente Perez Mora (VEN) May 1909 - 114
  2. Maria Branyas Morera (ESP) Mar 1907 - 116
  3. Efrian Antonio Rios Garcia (COL) Apr 1910 - 113
  4. Ethel Caterham (UK) Aug 1909 - 114
  5. Edie Ceccarelli (USA) Feb 1908 - 115
  6. Kikue Taira (JPN) Apr 1910 - 113
  7. Claudia Baccarini (ITA) – Oct 1910 - 113
  8. Inah Canabarro Lucas (BRA) Jun 1908 - 115
  9. Catherina van der Linden (Aus) Aug 1912 - 111
  10. Aileen Kars (NZ) Sep 1913 - 110

Hi Diego

I was born in England and we moved to New Zealand when I was a kid. I went back and lived in England for about 3 years in my 20s.

Otherwise I lived in New Zealand for about 30 years (mainly in Hamilton and Auckland, the largest city).

For just over 20 years now I’ve lived in Sydney, Australia and brought the family here, because of a really good job offer.

Very cool, they are wonderful countries, thank you very much for responding. Oceania is a beautiful continent
