Shiga Prefecture released information today regarding its oldest residents. According to the report, the prefecture's oldest resident remains 111-year-old Sawa Muraji, while the second-oldest is 110-year-old Hatsu Okutani, a resident of Takashima City.
This means that Ms. Masa Kotake (小竹マサ) of Aishō Town—who, as of last September, was the second-oldest living person in the prefecture—has sadly entered ''Limbo''.
She was born on July 7, 1915, and was last confirmed to be alive on September 1, 2025, aged 110.
