Shina Seki was born on October 1, 1909 in Namegata, Ibaraki pr. (JPN). 
She became the oldest living person in Ibaraki pr. after the death of 110-year-old Ms. Mitsuko Uesugi on 30 April 2018.
She is the second-oldest resident of Ibaraki pr. ever recorded, behind Ms. Chiyo Shirashi.
Ms. Seki lives in Ishioka, Ibaraki pr. (JPN).
As of March 17, 2023, she is currently the fifth-oldest validated living person in Japan after Ms. Tatsumi (115.9), Ms. Itooka (114.7), Ms. Makishi (114.1) and Ms. Hayashi (113.5).
