Mr. Alvaro José de Souza claims to have been born in Brazil on 14 February, 1910 and celebrated his 113th birthday 5 months ago. If his age is true, he may be the 2nd oldest living man in the world, after our doyen Juan Vicente Pérez Mora.
I tried to find more documents and evidence on Mr. de Souza with no success. Does anyone know more about his case?

Alvaro Jose de Souza confirmed ALIVE today by his grand-nephew on 04 Apri 2024. I hope a validation is possible...

Álvaro José de Souza, the claimant for the title of the world’s oldest living man, passed away on July 20th, at the claimed age of 114 years, 151 days.
Álvaro José de Souza was born on the Paraíso farm, in the municipality of Riacho dos Machados, Minas Gerais, as the eighth of 11 children born to parents Antonino Felício de Souza and Ana Rosa de Souza. He had seven older siblings—José, Otávio José, Olímpio José, Maria, Sebastião, Orácio José, and Antônio José—and three younger siblings—Júlia Rosa, Geraldo José, and Abílio José.
His claimed date of birth was 20 February 1910.
