Chihiro Takaoka was born on 18 September 1912.
Her age was verified by MHLW, Japan, Yu Li, Ryohei Asano and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 20 September 2025.
As of 7 August 2026, she is the oldest living person in Hyogo pr. (JPN), 3rd oldest living person in Japan behind Ms. Kagawa (115) and Ms. Kishimoto (114), 11th validated oldest living person in the world.
As of 7 August 2026, she lives in Ashiya City, Hyogo pr. (JPN).

On 23rd August 2026, following the sad passing of Ms. Meingast, Ms. Takaoka became the World's 10th-oldest validated living person.
