Mr. Delio Venturotti (Italy / Brazil) passed away on 1 June, so Mr. Mora is now the last living undisputed male person in the world born in 1900s decade (1900 - 1909)!.

@ale76 Getting a new ID card when you're 113 is probably quite rare.

As of 26 August, Mr Mora reached the age of 113-91.

This took him past James Sisnett and Wenceslao Gonzalez.

He is therefore now in the top 15 oldest verified men.

As of 28th September 2022, Mr Mora has reached the age of 113-124.

This takes him past the age of Maria do Sousa of Portugal (113-123), hence he now holds the record for being the oldest verified person born in 1909.

This is not necessarily something he'll hold onto over time - but for now it's his.

This surpasses the age of Frederick Frazier and moves Mr Mora into 14th position, on the list of the oldest verified men of all time.

Yeahh he's going places! Frazier was (barring Matthew Beard, †114:222) the oldest man alive at the time of my birth. It's long seem to be a nice goal achieve to surpass him one day, pref. turning 114 🙂

Next stop: Masazo Nonaka. If he bridges this gap, he'll be, barring Gustav Gerneth, the oldest man since Kimura!

EDIT: No, how could I forget Yisrael Kristal? He's still 150 days away then. But still, he's been gone for 5 years too! Would be a great milestone imo. 

Given the significant doubts around Mathew Beard, Frederick Frasier was probably also the WOMOAT for a time.

If so, this would have been from when he:

went past John Evans (112-295) on 9 November 1992,

until Christian Mortensen reached 113-139 on 2 January 1996

In respect of Juan Vincente Perez Mora, 133 days from now (health permitting) would see him in a 3 way share for 10th place. That would be 41547 days, and in his case 113-274.

Too far off to be thinking about - but as you say Josia9353, he's certainly going places.

I just wanted to share a pattern I noticed

First man to reach...

114 - born in the 1870s (Beard)

115 - born in the 1880s (Mortensen)

116 - born in the 1890s (Kimura)

It seems like one man born every decade breaks the record for oldest verified man ever. So continuing the pattern

117 - born in the 1900s (Mora)

This means that Juan Vicente Pérez Mora will be the next world record holder! 

@aquanaut_chalk Matthew Beard is a seriously disputed case. I also wouldn't put too much faith in this alleged trend continuing. Jeanne Calment reached 122 in 1997 and still nobody has been close to reaching her age.

At this stage he's the last pre 1910 verified man - hence the last chance.

Right now the 1900s decade has not been a great one for men - no one has reached 114.

As of today Juan Vicente Perez Mora (VEN) reaches 41,522 days.

Therefore at the calendar age of 113-249, he equals the record of John Mc Morran (actually 113-250) and therefore ties for 12th place on the current list of the oldest ever verified men. 

A three way tie for 10th place (health permitting for Mr Mora) would occur in 25 days - ie on 25 February 2023.

On 28 September 2022, Mr Mora attained the milestone of the oldest person born in 1909.

This of course is temporary in most cases, as others often eventually live longer.

Whilst he remains in the mix for this record, recent validations have currently pushed him down into 4th place, currently behind Nina Willis, Ushi Makishi, and Annabelle Holblinger.
