Considering that so many men are listed as being the OLP it appears that there might be many unknown centenarian women that have been missed.

They are mostly men unlike other countries. Currently, the oldest living person in Bulgaria should be Stojco Ivanov Stojcev, but I note "Oldest known", which does not mean that there is no one older than him. But so far so good. We will see if someone older will appear in the future. It is quite possible that he missed some, but maybe it is a small number of people for whom the 107th birthday has not been confirmed, and the date of death is unknown, so they are not on the list, because it is not known whether they had 106 or 107 years.

This is GREAT news, I almost definitely thought she had died last year but SHE IS STILL ALIVE AFTER BEING IN LIMBO AND IS LIKELY OLDEST EVER OF BULGARIA SOON.

@rich_villa This is just one example of how not to rush with Limbo cases. Let me mention that her age is not in question. There are reports from 100 years to the present. Also, her grandson is 57, her son is 80, and her daughter-in-law is 79.

Eye Surgery Report August 2017.

Otherwise the operation was performed on 2 August 2017...

If he turns 110 in October, he will be the second or third person in the history of Bulgaria to turn 110 years...

Ms. Dermendzieva, the oldest known living person in Bulgaria, sadly passed away on 12 January 2023 at the claimed age of 110 years, 92 days. She claimed to be born on 12 October 1912 and became the oldest known living person in Bulgaria, following the death of 107-year-old Nedelcho Boikov on 5 March 2020.

Any news on who is the oldest person in Bulgaria at the moment?

OLP since 12 Jan 2023 is Unidentified (b. Q2 1915) unknown if male or female (probably female), and also OLM since 3 Jan 2023 is Unknown.

This newspaper report after Nurie Dermendzieva's death confirms that OLP was 108 years old (probably 107 and born in 1915).
https://m.bgdnes.bg/bulgaria/article/13632776

There are 337 people over 100 years of age living in Bulgaria as of 30 January 2023. No other information for now...
