The oldest living person in Kyōto City, Kyōto, as well as in Japan, is a 114-year-old woman, Fuyo Kishimoto (岸本ふよ), born on 20 December 1911, per 31 August 2026.

The oldest resident in Hirakawa, Aomori per 24 August 2026 is 105 years old. The 23rd-oldest person in the city is a 100-year-old woman, Tomie Sudō (須藤とみゑ), who will turn 100 on 10 September.

The oldest living resident in Hitachi, Ibaraki (as well as in the prefecture) is a 107-year-old man, Toshi Nakane (中根敏), born on 7 February 1919, per 6 August 2026.

On 4 September he was visited by the mayor of the city.

Per 5 September 2026, the second-oldest person in Awaji, Hyōgo is a 108-year-old woman, Koyuki Matsuo (松尾小雪), born in late 1917. The oldest living man in the city is 104-year-old Torao Yamaya (or Yamatani?) (山谷寅雄), born in 1922.
