The oldest living resident in Hitachi, Ibaraki (as well as in the prefecture) is a 107-year-old man, Toshi Nakane (中根敏), born on 7 February 1919, per 6 August 2026.

The oldest living resident in Hikone, Shiga is a 108-year-old woman, Mitsuko Yamaguchi (山口光子), born on 8 October 1917, per 27 August 2026.
