The oldest living people in Miyagi prefecture are 110-year-old Shinno Shutō (首藤信乃) of Ishinomaki, born on 25 August 1916, and 109-year-old Shigeno Koike (小池シゲノ) of Ōgawara, born on 16 February 1917. There is one other 109-year-old woman in the prefecture.
