so Mr. Shutō is not a limbo case 🙂The oldest living people in Miyagi prefecture are 110-year-old Shinno Shutō (首藤信乃) of Ishinomaki, born on 25 August 1916, and 109-year-old Shigeno Koike (小池シゲノ) of Ōgawara, born on 16 February 1917. There is one other 109-year-old woman in the prefecture.

In addition, Kyōto City has released numbers and figures on its oldest living people. Apart from the five people aged 109 or above, there is also a 108-year-old man in the city (so born between 6 October 1917 and 15 September 1918).

The oldest living resident in Kimitsu, Chiba per 31 August 2026 is a 113-year-old woman, born on 30 October 1912, who is also the oldest living person in the prefecture. The oldest living men in the city are all 101 years old.

Miyazaki Prefecture has released the OLP Top 10 list. I am pasting the URL here, but since some people might not be able to view it, I am also attaching a screenshot. Please note that while the listed ages are as of September 15, 2026, the information itself is current as of September 1. As shown, the names, dates of birth, and places of residence for the individuals ranked second and fourth have been withheld; however, city population statistics compiled by Miyazaki City on September 1, 2026, confirm that two women aged 108 were residing in the city at that time, making it certain that both individuals live in Miyazaki City. Furthermore, while details regarding the person in second place are unclear, the data allows us to infer that the person in fourth place was born between August 2 and September 1, 1918.

Hyōgo (兵庫県)
Although the name and place of residence of Hyōgo Prefecture's oldest living woman have not been publicly disclosed, there is no doubt that she is a 113-year-old resident of Ashiya City, born on September 18, 1912. (Her name is known, but I will deliberately not write it.)
Also, the oldest living man is Mr. Tokuji Tanigaki (谷垣徳次) (b. 1914.11.08) of Tamba City.

The oldest residents in Kōbe City, Hyōgo Prefecture remain the same as last year: the oldest living woman is 111-year-old Ms. Shizuko Takenaka (竹中志す子) (b. 1915.1.28) of Tarumi Ward, and the oldest living man is 108-year-old Mr. Setsuzō Kōda (幸田節三) (b. 1917.12.1) of Suma Ward.

Information regarding the oldest person in Hiroshima Prefecture has been released. Remarkably, the man's name has been made public as well!
Hiroshima (広島県)
The oldest living woman—and the oldest lving person in the entire prefecture—is 111-year-old Ms. Yukie Hata (畑幸枝) (b. 1915.03.03) of Fukuyama City.
And the oldest living man is 110-year-old Mr. Iwatarō Hiramori (平盛岩太郎) (b. 1916.05.16) of Onomichi City.

Ishikawa (石川県)
The oldest living person in Ishikawa Prefecture is a 109-year-old woman living in Kahoku City whose name has not been disclosed. However, her date of birth has been made public, and it is recorded as January 18, 1917.
The oldest living man, just as last year, is 107-year-old Mr. Mitsuo Shikatani (鹿谷光雄) (b. 1919.07.10) of Shika Town.

Aomori prefecture has announced its oldest living man and woman. The oldest living woman is 110-year-old Moto Akaishi (赤石モト) of Rokunohe, born on 23 June 1916. The oldest living man is 108-year-old Seishirō Miura (三浦清四郎)of Tsugaru, born on 31 March 1918.
