Ms. Giuseppa Salerno sadly passed away on 26 September 2023, aged 112 years and 101 days, in Naples, Campania Region, Italy. She was born in the same town on 17 June 1911.Â
She was the 5th OLP in Italy and the 3rd OLP in Campania Region behind Ms. Sangenito (almost 113) and Ms. De Vita (112.7).

This was the first Italian top 5 death of 2023 (first since December) which is quite amazing. The same top 3 have been around since the previous doyenne died in May 2022
