Prof.ssa Gilda Poli of Rapallo, Genoa, Liguria Region, Italy, sadly passed away on 14 August 2025, aged 110.

She was born in Specchia, Lecce, Apulia Region on 22nd March 1915.

She was the 14th OLP in Italy and the 2nd OLP in Liguria Region.

Italian Woman Gilda Poli Dies at 110

Gilda Poli, a resident of Rapallo, Liguria, Italy, passed away on 14 August, at the age of 110 years, 145 days. Her passing was first reported by Antenna Sud.

Poli was born in Specchia, Apulia, on 22 March 1915. She was the aunt of Lecce Mayor Adriana Poli Bortone. Poli was a professor and spent most of her life in her Ligurian home, preserving until the end the clarity of mind and strength.

At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest living person in Liguria, after Marie Louise Tortech.
