What if tomorrow you wake up and see that a 130 year old woman was validated by LQ? Like what would your reaction be?

ย

Personally, I would be astounded. If you asked me this question 2 years ago, I would've been surprised, but not amazed. Now that I know how rare it is for a woman to see her 120s, a woman reaching 130 is just out of the ballpark rare.ย

ย

How do you think it would change the dynamic of how we view supercentenarians?

(I hope I live long enough to someday see a 130 year old person ACTUALLY validated, but I fear it won't be for another 200 years or so sadly, unless something huge changes in the medical field)

Just curious, what supercentenarian over the age of 113 does it seem like was able to escape the best from diseases of old age? I'd have to go with Lucile Randon, who seemed very healthy for a person of 118 years.ย

ย

EDIT: I forgot, Lucile Randon had a heart attack at 91. I think maybe Sarah Knauss or Marie Louise Meilleur was able to escape diseases the best.ย

I believe Sarah Knauss may be the best example in that regard โ€ฆ. for extreme longevity.

If you are talking about general strength and robustness of some reaching extreme longevity (say 117.0+) then Violet Brown was the best example that I personally can recall.

Just an interesting thought and hope for the future. If somehow, Luis Muรฑoz Cortes, Anisio Rodrigues Alves, Mansoor Pazargard, and Horacio Celi Mendoza get validated, the top 9 oldest living men on 18 June 2009 would look like this:

1. Luis Muรฑoz Cortes, 116y & 287d

2. Anisio Rodrigues Alves, 116y & 170d

3. Tomoji Tanabe, 113y & 274d

4. Henry Allingham, 113y & 12d

5. Walter Breuning, 112y & 270d

6. Mansoor Pazargard, 112y & 172d

7. Horacio Celi Mendoza, 112y & 166d

8. Jiroemon Kimura, 112y & 60d

9. Mauro Ambriz Tapia, 111y & 209d

Resulting in an average of 113.5 for the Top 9 spots! It would be incredible if this becomes a reality someday...
