Ms. Gerda Metze - of Altenburg, Thuringia, Germany - celebrated yesterday 109 years of life.
She was born on 12 July 1915 in Augustusburg, Saxony, is a retired teacher, currently the oldest known living Thuringian,
and the currently 33th oldest known living German.
