Ms. Gertruda Gorecka sadly passed away on 25 June 2024, at the claimed age of 112 years, 226 days, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
She claimed to be born in Kiebel, Posen, German Empire (now Keblowo, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland) on 12 November 1911 and immigrated to Canada in 2004.
She claimed to be the oldest known living person in Canada.

She is the 9th oldest living emigrant from Poland, the 3rd oldest living emigrant from Poland. (68 days) , is the 12th person from Ontario to be considered the oldest living in the country, (the second in a row). The 9th oldest person in the history of Central Europe. 31 oldest European emigrant in history, his successor, Rose Girone is 38 and born in Poland (Janów) also on 13 Jan 1912 and lives in the USA (Whitestone, Queens, New York)
