But, I suppose with this cut-and-paste work in validation dates, another month has been completed; the Pending Cases table for 15 February 2016 can be released now.

They really want the best of both worlds: adding a new researcher to make the massive 7+ year delay seem justifiable, while also wanting to show that the cases were actually completed years prior. They can't have it both ways. 

@mendocino They are, at this point, ridiculous and clumsy (how many errors published here or on other forums are subsequently fixed!!).

Do you know why the GRG waits a long time before announcing validations?

In my time I knew, but I don't feel it's up to me to discuss that publicly. That was once...

These days, I can't say with certainty, but I suspect it's the same 'modus operandi'.

In these days GRG accepted the validations of Ms. Henriqueta Soares Marques (BRA) (May 6, 1911 - Living, 112), and Ms. Marie-Madeleine Saint-Laurent (Aug. 9, 1912 - Living, 111), all already validated by LQ.

Recently announced validations, but apparently* accepted on 13 January and 9 July 2023 respectively:

Ruth Apilado, USA, 30 Apr 1908 - 15 Aug 2021, 113 years and 107 days.

Lorena Guillot, USA, 19 Jan 1911 - 17 Jan 2023, 111 years and 363 days.

* Note how Ruth Apilado's case was conveniently "accepted" four days prior to the LQ validation**; this tactic of backdated validation dates has been applied to more GRG validations recently.

** As such, the GRG can cunningly claim it validated and accepted these cases before LQ did so.

It is a foul play to backdated validation dates that are, in this way, fake.

Mathilde Gratry, FRA, 10 May 1896 - 10 Jan 2008, 111 years and 245 days.

One wonders who the validator "CL" for the Hilda Jackson case is... 🤣

Interestingly, Chris Law has been credited with his full name now (even though this was not yet the case a couple of days ago for Hilda Jackson, but it seems that's been changed).
